Road to Success

The Road to Success, isn’t always a Road, enjoy the journey!

As I come to the end of 2011, I reflect on my life.  All my accomplishments, defeats, tears and triumphs. I accomplished many wonderful things, I cried because I was frustrated and I jumped for joy because I conquered myself in many different areas of my life.

My success came in many different forms this year.

It came with me crying on the floor after starting a new exercise program that kicked my ass. P90x isn’t easy, it is hard and changes your life. I hated it, still loathe it some days and realize I have a heck of a long way to go, but today I sit here lighter, stronger and more confident.

My success came when I closed one door and opened another in my business. This took courage to break free from old and unrewarding habits that held me back and didn’t represent my highest self. I started a new, and as scary as it was then…I sit here today grateful and richer in both spirit as well as my pocket book.

My success came when I let go of the fear of being alone. I still work on this, but I have made huge strides. Because now I realized that I am my own very best friend. In return I have gained insight to the most beautiful things in my life, my children, my family, my lover and my self love.

My success came from opening my mind to trying new things and committing to learning something new once a week. It may be a new SEO strategy, or learning a new chord progression on my mandolin or unplugging from technology to focus fully on my children and learning something really groovy and cool about who they are as little individuals as well as their weird and whacked out lingo.

It is strange to think, but my road to success, was not a road at all, it was the journey that got me to where I am today.
